Leucillin Antiseptic Spray for Dogs, Cats, Horses & Pets
Leucillin Antiseptic Skincare Spray is a hypochlorous acid (HOCl) spray for cleansing cuts, grazes and irritated skin on dogs, cats, horses, small pets, birds and reptiles. Hypochlorous acid is a substance the body’s own white blood cells produce, and Leucillin is a stabilised version made in the UK by Lyvlee Ltd. It contains only hypochlorous acid and saline, with no steroids, antibiotics, alcohol, fragrance or colourings.
Tested to recognised EN standards, Leucillin achieved a 99.99999% (Log 7) reduction in bacteria in laboratory conditions. It was also tested against a range of yeasts, fungi and enveloped viruses.

How to use
Flush the area first if it is dirty, then spray liberally until it is thoroughly wet. Part the coat so the spray reaches the skin. Leave it to air dry without rinsing or wiping. Use up to three times daily, or more often if needed. For the eyes, use the 50ml dropper to apply into the inner corner, or spray onto cotton wool first.
Leucillin is for external use only. Apply it before any creams or dressings, and remove oily residues first, as they stop it reaching the skin. If a wound is serious, shows signs of infection or does not improve, speak to your vet.
Competition safe for horses
The manufacturer states that Leucillin tests free for competition animals and contains no substances prohibited under FEI or Jockey Club rules.
Available sizes
Available in 50ml dropper, 60ml travel spray, 150ml, 250ml or 500ml spray. The 150ml, 250ml and 500ml sprays have fine mist and jet settings.
Frequently asked questions
Does Leucillin sting?
No. It is skin pH neutral and non-stinging, which is why it suits sensitive and nervous pets.
Does it need rinsing?
No. Spray it on and leave it to air dry.
Why does it smell like a swimming pool?
The faint smell comes from the hypochlorous acid and is normal. If a bottle has no smell at all, it may be past its best.
Can I use it with other treatments?
The manufacturer states it can be used alongside oral medication. Apply Leucillin first, let it dry, then apply anything else. Follow your vet’s advice for complex cases.
How should I store it?
Keep it in its original bottle somewhere cool and dark, away from direct sunlight. Do not decant it.
