Why do you have products “Purchased to Order” and not held in stock?

When we purchase products to order, it means that we source items directly from our suppliers based on customer requirements, rather than maintaining a large inventory in stock.

We’ve chosen not to hold several products in stock for several reasons. With such a vast number of sizes, flavours, colours or variations available across so many categories, suppliers and products, it allows us to minimize operational costs, which ultimately translates to better prices for our customers. By avoiding the need for extensive warehousing space and inventory management, we can focus on delivering value and quality service.

Purchasing to order ensures that our customers receive products tailored to their specific needs. This approach also enables us to offer a wider selection of items without the constraints of physical storage limitations. Additionally, it reduces the risk of overstocking and wastage, contributing to a more sustainable business model.

The time it takes to receive products purchased to order varies depending on supplier availability, time of order and shipping times. However, we strive to provide accurate delivery estimates for each order to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction. Why don’t you stock rawhide products, and will you ever offer them in the future?

At MAH Pet Supplies,  the health and safety of pets is our top priority. We have made a conscious decision NOT to stock rawhide products, or any products that contain rawhide,  and we stand by this choice for several reasons.

First and foremost, rawhide is DANGEROUS and poses significant health risks to pets. It is almost impossible to digest properly and causes gastrointestinal issues such as blockages or choking hazards. Additionally, rawhide contains toxic chemicals used in the manufacturing process, which are harmful to pets when ingested.

Furthermore, the sourcing and production of rawhide can raise ethical concerns. Many rawhide products come from overseas suppliers with questionable animal welfare standards. By abstaining from stocking rawhide products, we uphold our commitment to supporting ethical and sustainable pet care practices.

While we understand that some pet owners may have used rawhide products in the past, we strongly suggest, for the health of your dog, that you immediately stop buying rawhide products and dispose of any that you currently have.

There are much safer and much healthier alternatives available. We offer a wide range of natural and alternative chew options that are not only safe but also promote dental health and mental stimulation for pets.

As for the future, we will NEVER introduce rawhide products into our inventory. Our focus remains on providing high-quality, safe, and ethically sourced products that pet owners can trust. We continuously evaluate our product selection to ensure it aligns with our values and meets the evolving needs of our customers and their beloved pets. Do you offer free local delivery?

Yes, we are pleased to offer free local delivery to our customers within S43, S44, S21, S80 and NG20 areas.  This service is available for all orders, including products purchased to order and there is no minimum purchase required.

Are there specific delivery windows for local delivery?

As a small local business, we pride ourselves on providing the best service we can for all our customers, part of which is striving to accommodate our customers’ schedules as much as possible – delivering to you, when it is convenient to you.
If you have any specific delivery requirements, please add these at checkout.  Once you order is ready for dispatch we will contact you prior to delivery to ensure you are available to receive your order.

Do you offer same-day delivery for stocked items?

While we strive to accommodate same-day delivery requests whenever possible, availability of this service depends on various factors such as workload, delivery routes, and time of order placement. How can I stay informed about product availability and updates?

To stay updated on product availability, promotions, and other updates, we recommend subscribing to our newsletter and following us on social media platforms. This way, you’ll never miss out on exciting new additions to our inventory.
To be notified of availability of products that are currently sold out, please add your email address to the waitlist for the specific product you require. Not only does this notify you as soon as they are back in stock but it also helps us gauge demand and adjust our purchasing and stock levels accordingly.

Can you get Royal Canin pet food?

At this time, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer Royal Canin pet food in our inventory. Unfortunately, Royal Canin exclusively supplies their products to big box chains, large suppliers, or veterinary clinics. As an independent retailer, we do not currently have access to their product line.
However, we understand the importance of providing a diverse selection of high-quality pet food options for our customers. While we do not carry Royal Canin products, we do offer a wide range of alternative brands that are carefully selected to meet the nutritional needs of your pets.
